Duong Lam Old Village Trip - A wonderful discovery…!

Duong Lam old village - the most ancient village in Vietnam especially in the north is recognized as one of national heritages with its long great history. There are a lot of things interesting about it waiting us to visit and discover. Let’s join in the trip with us on Sunday 15th January, 2012 to broaden your knowledge of Duong Lam village and relax with GLN EC.



Here are some details for the trip:

Fee: 100 000 VND/person concluding:

- Ticket gate: 15 000 VND/person
- Lunch meal: 60 000 VND/person
- Extra activities: 25 000 VND/person

Outline for the program

08:30:            Start

10:00-11:30:  Visit some famous places in Duong Lam village

11:30-12:15:  Have lunch together

12:15-14:00:  Play games and share your plans in the new year

14:00-15:00:  Visit another places in Duong Lam villages & take photos

15:00:           Come back home + enjoy Hotpot

►Note:

1. To ensure our trip to be on time, everyone should be at National Convention Centre at 08:15 a.m on the way to Thang Long Highway.
2. Please pay your fee to Ms Hien until 7 p.m on Friday 13th January, 2012 before the trip. If you can not pay on time, your payment can be accepted on Sunday morning, 15th January
3. Use English during the trip
4. Use your personal vehicle: motorbikes (contact us if you do not have your own)

A wedding is thought to be one of the biggest events in our life. It is commonly the result of the great love of two people: a boy and a girl, which may be a long and memorable period of time. Wedding or marriage, however, is different from various cultures. “How are the weddings in Vietnam? Is there any difference between weddings in the past and nowadays?” Come and share with us your knowledge about “Weddings in Vietnam” at GLN EC this Saturday, 7th January 2012.

    2:45- 3:15: Discussing in pairs
ü      For Vietnamese, how important is the role of weddings?
ü      When is the wedding season in Vietnam? Why?
ü      Could you describe a wedding celebration in Vietnam in both traditional and modern ways?
ü      What are the main differences between wedding celebration in Vietnam and that in Western countries?
ü      Could you share with us the dream of your own wedding in the future?
   3:15- 3:45: Playing an interesting game
   3:45-4:20: Discussing in groups
ü      “It is said that the way to celebrate a wedding in Vietnam is so complicated, wasting time and money. It is necessary to eliminate some unsuitable wedding procedures”
    => Present your group’s ideas. 
   4:20-4:30: Ending the program
