1.1. Logistical Details:
Maximum attendance: 50 people per workshop
Minimum Duration: 30 minutes
1.2. Content
The workshops cover the 5 following areas:
The workshop content will be delivered in the following ways:
Overall presentation using a PowerPoint, which will cover:
· Global HIV/AIDS reality
· HIV/AIDS in Vietnam
· What is HIV? What is AIDS?
· How is HIV Spread?
· What’s safe? What’s not safe?
· Prevention
· Testing & why testing is important
· Positive Living and Treatment
1.3. Interactive activities, such as:
· HIV and AIDS quiz to understand knowledge levels at the beginning and knowledge levels at the end of the workshop;
· Group activities to understand each of the above five areas;
· Acting and interpretation by the other workshop participants (to understand how HIV affects the immune system);
· Rating a range of statements for risk level between: ‘no risk’, ‘low risk’, ‘medium risk’ and ‘high risk’;
· Rating most effective and least effective prevention methods for specific scenarios;
· Condom demonstrations (learning how to describe what condoms are and the different types available locally, where to obtain, how to use properly, etc); and
· Discussion of solutions to HIV/AIDS problems that people may face (such as work related, family related, etc.

· Social Responsibility
· Active Learning
The workshop content will be delivered in the following ways:
Overall presentation using a PowerPoint, which will cover:
2.2.1. Culture Understanding
· Cultural features of countries in the world
· Differences between culture in Vietnam and other countries
· How to overcome culture shocks and integrate with a new culture
2.2.2. Social Responsibility
· Global/Vietnam environment reality
· Why we need to protect environment?
· How we can protect environment?
2.2.3. Active Learning
· What is Active Learning?
· Why Active Learning?
· How to learn actively?
2.3. Interactive activities, such as
· Culture Understanding: foreign traditional games, learn new languages (in words), presentation about Vietnamese culture, quizzes about culture
· Social Responsibility: quizzes about environment, making green products, design poster/logo/slogan, presentation, debate
· Active Learning: quizzes, use active learning methods and compare with other methods
