There’s a fact we can not deny that smoking is dangerous to health. Smoking increases the risk of pollution, global warming, and diseases in not only people who smoke but also people around them. But why does the number of smokers keep increasing uncontrollably? Do those people lack of awareness about the harmfulness? Or there is no clear law about this issue? Or there are things non-smokers do not know? Come to join us to discuss more deeply to get a comprehensive look about smoking, you may later change your opinion.

  •   Imagine that you have went on dates with a nice girlfriend. This weekend she asks you to come to her house to meet her parents. Everything seems to be OK and you feel absolutely confident. However, you’re a smoker and her parents do not like this at all. They oppose your relationship seriously. What will you do?
  • Work in group to think of solutions and then play a drama to show it to others.

Along with the rapid development of social economy, advertising has penetrated every corner of society. People are exposed to numerous advertising messages every day. To compete with many other similar advertising messages, advertisers use various devices to catch reader’s attention, arouse their desire, and induce their action. Advertising slogan is one of significant messages of ads and it is considered as the soul of ads. Why is it likened as the soul of ads? What make a good ads slogan? To discuss interesting things behind such slogans, let’s come and join us on Saturday afternoon at GLN EC Nguyen Thi Dinh. The meeting is promising to bring you both joys and useful knowledge.

         How many kinds of ads slogans are there? What are they?
        Why is ads slogan considered as the soul of an advertisement? What are its functions?
        What make a good ads slogan? What are characteristics of ads slogans to be avoided?

        Let’s practice creating a meaningful, attractive advertising slogan for any product or service. Then, design a logo with the created slogan in a paper. (Decorate it with color if necessary)

Good evening! Today, our fellow citizens, our way of life, our very freedom came under attack in a series of deliberated and deadly terrorist acts…”

It is the quotation from President G.W. Bush on the evening news lived from CNN about the attack on the World Trade Center during the morning of September 11th, 2001. More than 6000 Americans lost their lives; even more lost their families and the economy of the United States have never fully recovered after the incident. Today, twelve years had passed, we will take a look back at the darkest day of American history – our fellow members – today we’re going to talk about the collapse of the World Trade Center of New York in the day of 9/11.
