[GLN EC Sunday] Halloween

Halloween is coming. In our country, this holiday is becoming more and more popular though some ten years ago very few people celebrated it. So what do you know about Halloween? What will you do on Halloween holiday? Let’s join the discussion in this Sunday afternoon with GLN EC!

Conditions:  + make-up any fearsome characters what you like: ghost, witch, skeleton, vampire, mummy, monster,  .....

                     + wear some scary clothes or customes on Sunday, for example: mask, scarecrow, pumpkin,...

2:45- 3:30: Discussing in pairs 

1. When does Halloween celebration happen? Can you share with us the history and the meaning  of  Halloween? 
2. What do people usually do on Halloween day in Western countries?
3. What do you think about Halloween in Vietnam?  In which place, people know more about Halloween,  big cities or the countryside? Is Halloween as popular as Chrismas day in our country? Why (or why not)?
4. Halloween is coming. What will you do to celebrate it?  Who do you want to experience the day with you (you friends or your lovers)?  Please suggest some places where you’re going to come to.

3:30 – 3:45: Playing games

3:45 – 4:30: Working in groups 

Each group will have the same amount of pictures about Halloween, and then base on these pictures to create their own stories and one person, on behalf of each group, will tell the story of  his group.
