New and attractive topic: “Single or marriage”

 Modern and rush life lead people to purse their career, as well as their passion and then forget or hesitate when standing on the doorstep of marriage or family life. Freedom, comfort  and avoiding being hurted , are these beneficial aspects of single life? What are the advantages and disadvantages of getting married? GLN EC has enthusiastically discussed about this  hot issue.

Even though it was hot and the room was full of participants, all members were absorbed and excited with the flame of flexible and amusing programme. The discussion in pairs, as well as in groups with lots of sincere opinions and ardor from members were combined with the interesting and creative games. So that, the atmosphere was roused and participants not only could share, exchange their  knowledge but also enjoy wonderful relaxed hours.

The opening  programme game called “guess who”, in which two teams both got fluttered time to watch stimulating clips to guess hidden characters in videos. Moreover, it was also stressful to take a pen as quickly as possible when your team had  an answer for the question. The game required not only knowledge about a particular subject but also quick speed and co-ordination among members. Unforgettable and funny ways of smiles from members of loser team may be a spiritual gift for the others. Between two main parts, named discussion in pairs and in groups, a game called “guess the right word” was received enthusiasm and excitement from many members.

“Single or marriage” has become an exciting discussion part in pairs as well as in groups. By listening attentively and sharing opinion with the others, there were quite a lot attendants who confidently raised their voice  about both sides of the issue. The room atmosphere was getting more and more  interesting due to the participation of very dynamic students and some people  who are still working or even preparing to get married. The viewpoint  about “should be single or married, which tends to be good and wise” was be seen in a full comprehensive view of many people in many different ages . GLN EC’s programme was not only a place where attendants can  practice and improve English but also become a truly friendly and opening environment for learning experiences and profound  lessons in the daily life.

In addition, the awareness of presentation  and teamwork skills are  becoming more and more  important deciding  the  success in work, as well as in life, GLN created the  opportunity for every members presenting their thinking about marriage or single of famous people. The lessons about presentation skills such as how to use presentation structure, body languages appropriately in order to attract audiences can be seen a priceless experience for every member

“I was really impressed with GLN EC. By creating a  friendly and  opening environment, I was helped by every members who are really dynamic when I faced some troubles in vocabulary or grammar in English. They also helped me to be more confident in front of the crowded people. I hoped  I could bravely raise my voice to present in the next time in order to improve this vital skill and also be more self-confident, too.” Nguyen Huyen (second-year student at Hanoi University) said.
