CHUYẾN ĐI MAI CHÂU - HÒA BÌNH (2 ngày)
Đến hẹn lại lên, hãy cùng tham gia hoạt động dã ngoại cùng GLN EC trong dịp hè này với chuyến đi 2 ngày 1 đêm hứa hẹn rất đáng nhớ tại Mai Châu- Hòa Bình. Nơi đây được coi là một thung lũng xinh đẹp làm ngẩn ngơ du khách. Sự hùng vĩ của đất trời, lòng nhiệt thành của người Thái bản địa đủ để khách hài lòng với một chuyến đi ngắn. Với khung cảnh non nước hữu tình, hồ sông Đà được ví như một vịnh Hạ Long thu nhỏ. Diện tích hồ rộng, nước xanh biếc, hai bên bờ núi nhấp nhô một màu xanh của cây cối, tạo lên một thế giới xanh tuyệt đẹp. Mặt hồ buổi sớm khá phẳng lặng, những cơn gió thu thổi nhẹ tạo những con sóng lăn tăn nối tiếp nhau. Các bạn sẽ có cơ hội đi thuyền trên hồ, hòa mình với nắng và gió. Hãy tham gia chuyến đi để cảm nhận vẻ đẹp tuyệt vời của non nước Mai Châu.

         It is generally believed that some people are born with talents for acting , and others are not. However, it is sometimes claimed that any child can be taught to become a good actor/actress. Discuss and make presentation for your opinion.

[GLN EC Saturday] Topic 22/06: Television

Television is one of the greatest inventions of humankind, which has changed the world incredibly. You can watch blockbusters, hot news, big football matches or advertisements of famous brands through television. And with the latest breakthroughs in sciences and technologies, you can surf the Internet or buy or sell something with your boxes. All of television related issues will be discussed in our meeting in this Saturday afternoon.

Nowadays it’s very common to see violent movies and films with a lot of sexual scenes on television. What can we do to prevent  their negative influences with the development of children ? Work in your groups and then make presentations or dramas to express your groups’ ideas.

[GLN EC Sunday] Topic 16/06: Brain Drain in Vietnam


Many of Viet Nam’s best and brightest are departing for higher-paid jobs in other countries, sparking concern that a brain drain could impede economic progress. In recent years, the country has seen an increasing number of academics and scientists leave for developed countries. Some people did not return home after being sent by the Government to study abroad and others could not find suitable jobs here. Others left because they were working for foreign-invested enterprises or simply preferred to work abroad. The above information is not all about brain drain phenomenon in Vietnam, let’s come to GLN English Club to discuss more with the topic “Brain drain in Vietnam”

How could you convince him to stay in Vietnam? Make a presentation or drama.

People have become more and more busy nowadays. They often have little time to relax and easily get into stress and negative thinking. As a result, more and more people have mental diseases. According to many researches, there is a way for people to stay healthy and happy is thinking positively. If you have a positive thinking and attitude, you will experience pleasant feelings, visualize the results you want to achieve. This brings you more energy and happiness, and brightness to your eyes. However, what is positive thinking and how can people keep thinking positively? Let’s come to GLN’s Saturday meeting and we will have more discussions about this topic.

d.      You’ve applied for a lot of jobs but still don’t have any call back.
e.      You’ve got a new expensive mobile phone but suddenly it is robbed when you are using it on the street right after your leaving phone shop.

[ GLN Sunday ] Topic 09/06 : TEST ANXIETY

Whenever the red flamboyant flowers colour on the streets, it is time for the exam season to come . The students, putting everything aside, hook up with their study in preparation for the time full of anxiety ahead. The works piling up in a semester seems to be wrapped into three hours only. Therefore, studying seems to be so intensive and even make all the students exhausted. In many cases, students might be get sick and mentally ill. How to  get over such anxiety and work effectively for the exam is always of great concern among people. Let’s  join us to share your ideas about the topic.

The importance of food can be described in a saying: “One cannot think well, love well, and sleep well, if one has not dined well.” Talking about food, it is common knowledge to think about delicious and nutritious dishes but leave out eating habits.
