Holidays – not only the day off work!!!

Do you like holidays in Vietnam because of getting the work off? In Vietnam, we have a lot of holidays that are our identities, which makes us more proud of our country. So what do you think about these holidays? Of which do you like most? What are the meanings of them? All these questions were shared and discussed in GLN EC on Saturday 8th October interestingly.

Well, it is the fact that, Vietnam has many holidays in which we can stay off work within permission. However, we just have 9 days of public holidays, and 6 national days like New Year’s (January 1st), Tet (early days of the first month in lunar year), Hung Kings ( 10th of the third lunar month), Liberation Day (30 April), International Worker Day ( 1st May) and Independent Day (2nd September). Besides we discussed about the history and meanings of these holidays, a lot of members told their stories in the days excitingly.

Especially, we had the excellent presentations of two groups in deciding whether celebrated the next Capital Liberation Day (10th October) spectacularly or not. Each group gave their ideas persuasively and helped us understand more deeply about this holiday. I did hope this topic provided you some useful information of holidays in Vietnam – we always expected them to come soon.

Face book- connecting together!!!
Attracted by a huge amount of its advantages, nowadays, more and more people around the world are using Face book as their electronic diary to show the feeling, emotion and profiles. It is also our topic at the last meeting on Saturday, 1st October. We had  the interesting discussions about “History of Face book, compare Face book with other social network site, discussing the pros and cons of Face book, and anything relating to Face book” and so on.

Because of its popularity, all the members were excited to share their ideas about Face book. They agreed that, Face book really changed our world, brought the happiness and comfort to them. Moreover, it also helped you connect with your friends, family wherever and whenever you were. This was the best benefit that brought to us. Although we used it regularly, we may not acknowledge its history and development. “When did it appear? Why has it become more and more developed? Whether it is replaced by another in some day?” were discussed very hot.
What happened with his face? Poor him!
After that we had some funny games to relax and presentations in groups, which helped you more confident in the presentation.
