“Have you ever joined voluntary activities? What are your main reasons for joining these? And what do you think about these kinds of activities? Etc...” All of these questions will be discussed in the upcoming outdoor program in GLN English Club with the hot topic “Voluntary Activities”. The topic this week will be very practical for all of you to understand more about the important role of voluntary activities to the youth. Especially, this time the place will be totally new and interesting with very beautiful scenery – Hoa Binh Park on Pham Van Dong Street, Ha Noi. “Discussing the relating issues in English, taking part in funny game and going sight – seeing together at the same time” – it is all what you can get from this outdoor program.

Voluntary Activities

Saturday, April, 16^th, 2011

Pham Van Dong Street, Tu Liem District, Ha Noi

3:00-3:10: Breaking the ice

· Make friends with other people in the club

3:10-3:30: Warming up

· Play a game (MC introduces the game…)

3:30-4:00: Discussing in pairs

Work in pairs to discuss these questions:

· Have you ever taken part in any voluntary activities? The main reasons for you to join these activities?

· What do you think about voluntary activities in Hanoi? (Are they really effective or realistic…?)

· Could you tell some popular voluntary activities or clubs?

=> Some people will share their ideas (in about 10 minutes)

4:00-4:15: Game for a break

4:15-4:55: Discussing in groups

Should people join voluntary activities? Why?

=> Two groups will present their ideas in 5 minutes each.

4:55-5:00: Ending up the program
