[GLN EC Keangnam] Topic 19/08: Communication Skill

          Communication is a mode which helps us to express or transfer our messages, thoughts, feelings, thinking, imaginations and ideas. Nowadays, effective communication is an important key to success in everyday life.    People have lost many jobs and marital relationships because they failed to express thoughts and feelings in an appropriate and professional manner. Can you recognize this very essential role of communication? What should you do to communicate effectively or improve your communication skill?  It seems to be an useful topic. Let’s come and improve English communication with us on Saturday afternoon this week. The topic “Communication skill” will be promising to bring you an interesting meeting at weekend.

    3:00-3:20: Breaking the ice
·         Making friends with others

   3:20-3:30: Watching a clip

   3:30-4:15: Discussing in pairs
·         What is communication? Does it play an important role in human life?
·         Could you name some kinds of communication? Of all which skills do you usually use most in daily life?
·         What barriers prevent effective human communication?
·         What should we do to communicate effectively and successfully, especially in English? Could you share your own experiences of  using and improving communication skills?

    4:15-4:30: Playing an interesting game
·         Presenting based on  words given in 1 minute as funny as possible (just for 10 quickest members), who performs the best is our winner.

    4:30-5:00: Discussing in groups
·         Between two main kinds of communication: verbal and non-verbal, which is more important in your group’s opinion?  Give your reasons.

    5:00-5:30: Free talk
