Introducing new brands is
critical for achieving the continued growth and long-term success for any
enterprise. However, despite huge investments and concerted efforts in
introducing new brands, many of them may never be successful. The failure rate
is found to range between 35% and 45%.
So what is really a brand? And
what makes a brand different from another brand?. In order to discover the
answers, GLN English Club is honored to cover a topic named “Brand” in this
weekend program. Let’s join us to share your opinions!

· Introduce about yourself
3:00 – 3:20 Warming-up
3:20 – 4:20 Discussing in pairs
1. What is a brand? Could you name and
describe some brands that you think they’re successful?
2. What is a logo? Identify the differences
between the brand and logo of a company?
3. What makes up a brand? And what does brand
really tell us about?
4. What is brand awareness? How does it
benefit the business itself?
5. Do you have any idea on how to improve the
brand awareness of GLN English Club?
3:45 – 4:15: Playing a game
4:20 – 5:00 Discussing in groups
Groups will
be given a brand name of a product. Let’s imagine that they are all firstly
launched in the market. Your job is to introduce the product (what it is, how
it functions, why customers should buy it…)
Suggestions:
1. You
should think like an advertiser.
2. You
should make sorts of presentation or commercial advertising dramas.
3. Some
possible brands: Iphone 5, Coca Cola, Comfort (fabric softener), KFC fry
chicken, Gillette shaver.
