Making a schedule for a meaningful summer vacation with GLN EC.

Where will we go this summer? Is it necessary to discuss some believable destinations? If yes, GLN EC can be a bridge for your sharing about this topic of the ideal summer holiday.

As stressful exams are gradually finishing, this is the time for us to arrange a completed plan for an interesting vacation with our friends. It is very important to review previous holidays and drive toward a new beautiful vacation. However, where would the best choice be? What is some advice before departure? Let’s go and discover the answers.

A fascinating point was that because some regular members were having days off with their families, we welcomed and met many newcomers. Everyone greeted and made friend with each other by sharing personal information. We spent fifteen minutes doing an ice-breaker, which wasn’t a long duration, but it was enough to get the program started. 

After the ice-breaker, the participants were divided into pairs in order to beneficially share information and were given chances to practice speaking English.  A surprising thing that happened was that two random pairs wore similar T-shirt colors. This occurred accidentally which was quite curious and funny for all of us. Next, the topic of “summer vacation” was reminisced and people thought about their memorable experiences. It is inevitable that some members were troubled with obsessive memories of the past. These memories included a wonderful journey to Te Ha, a famous ruin in Ha Giang province, or perhaps an unforgettable trip of military training to Hoa Binh province. These were all beautiful vacations which, when retold, really inspired others.

What is your plan for this summer vacation? There were quite a lot of different ideas and schedules about what they wanted to do over the time. “Well, I’m going to work hard first, then in the later weeks I will enjoy a journey with my colleagues” a member shared. Another one said: “I don’t want to spend too much time relaxing; I think I need to look for a course in order to enhance some of my weaknesses like English, maybe”. It was quite fun when a participant said they will probably be focused on conquering the girl that he has liked for a long time, and perhaps this will be his only goal for this summer. Each might have different plans of their own, but hopefully they can achieve theirs.

 We ended those future plans and moved on to another really exciting game called “sport name”, the MC appreciated to instruct the game’s rules. The game is like another version of “catch word” which is a famous Vietnamese TV program. It not only made lots of fun, but also a way to learn new vocabulary. Thus, it was substantially interesting.

To end the program, the MC gave thanks and wished all the participants good luck with their summer vacation. Last but not least, some members stayed after the meeting had come to an end and chatted with key members of the club, gossiping about many topics. This is what happened at the last meeting of GLN EC. I hope we all have a great vacation.
